Default Oil Light turns on

someone shed some light for me.
My engine oil light turns on if the engine is under 1k rpm. When i accelerate, or go then it goes away. If i come to a stop, then it turns or flickers back on. I just got an oil change and there is oil in the engine.

Has anyone ever had this before?

Oil pump is probably going bad. See if the filters tight too, and if you have any leaks.

i just did an oil change 3 days ago. This came up before that. I thought the oil change might fix it. Filter is tight.

I'm pretty sure the oil light alerts you of low oil pressure, not low oil

the cause of the low pressure is either a bad pump, 99% of the time, or tolerances within the motor are worn too big. as long as the motor isnt knocking or making nay odd sounds put a pump in it

yeah its the oil pressure. when your car idles the oil pressure flexuates. bad oil pump? get it fixed asap. your internals might not be getting enough lubricant.

3 things Oil level, Oil Pressure, oil pressure sensor easiest thing to do is look for leaks check filter tightness or take it back to where you had your oil changed they might have 2 gaskets on the mounting plate or a bad gasket on the filter, check oil level, then if the light doesn't go out oil pressure sensor. Hope it helps!

Is it normal for the light to flash for a second under really hard braking?
