Just a heads up for everyone > Purolator PL14459 PureONE filters $8.00 for 2 pack!!
Just giving a heads up for all of my fellow S2k members out there:
Purolator PL14459 PureONE filters $8.00 for 2 pack!!LINK IS DEAD!

This oil filter is pretty much up to par, if not better with the PCX filters for our car.
K&N > PureONE >= NAPA Gold (WIX) >= Honda PCX > *
At only $8 for 2, why not stock up?
PureONE vs FRAM

I already bought some in the past but I may just buy some more!

man that fram filter looks like it got the **** beat out of it. and with a box full of filters, you must be planning on a whole lot of oil changes!
I just stock up so I don't have to make a run to the store.
I change my oil every 4k - 4.5k

thats not a bad idea. i buy oil by the case so i don't have to run to the store.
At one time, I bought out the whole stock of Castrol Syntec 0w30 GC (German made) at AutoZone...
I still have about 10 bottles left. I think I bought over 17 bottles of oil that day since my total came up over $120.
OT:
Thinking about buying 8 Iridiums. Need to change my plugs soon...But Iridiums cost so much! I have about 30+ NGK BKR7E (copper) from when I had my turbo gsr. Good thing that it's compatible with the S, so come time to turbo the S, I can use up those plugs.
Back to the topic...I wonder who else uses this oil filter. The majority here use the Honda PCX oil filter and/or HAMP one

Why so early? ever get an oil life analysis? i'm sure you could run 7.5k on a full synthetic no problem.
great deal on the filters though
thats even cheaper than you can get oem ones for
...not saying that the oem ones are any worse

I change oil(synthetic) and filter every 3k. I feel 3k is a good milege if you drive you car hard day in and out and want it to last. I did this in my old teg I beat the **** out of that car not liek a ******** but I was allways at WOT flying around. Anyways the teg is now my sisters and still as good when I got from day one and dosent even eat any oil.
3k FTW!!!!!!!!!

The answer is, it is my DD. I do not track my car and it is not boosted...Yet.
I don't drive it hard at all. Hardly ever take it past 6k. The oil I use is better than it's U.S. counterpart. It should last longer than 6k miles actually. But I change it at 4-4.5k.

Go ahead and keep telling yourself the purolator is great. And then read this...

Until it happens then I'll stop using it. It was a defect. It could happen to any filter brand. If it was really common, then I will probably trash it.
Link for the deal is dead I believe.

Why would you wait till it happens? One defect is more than enough for me. I haven't heard of any defects like that happening with the OEM filter. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
