Default HP Gain?

Right now my 94 Prelude is stock, but I'm looking to gain some horsepower.

I know cool air intake is pretty cheap and helps a little. Any other ways to increase horsepower without spending too much?

yeah a cool air intake is pretty much the first thing...cooler, more air....next you should upgrade your ignition....platinum/iridium NGK plugs, wires, dist. cap/rotor (MSD), and an external coil. and don't forget the full synthetic oil

A nice, and i stress the word NICE exhaust can net you some power gains. Nothing like true dual system would gain for a V8 or anything, but it's a nice little kick. I would recommend Anything Greddy and some of the Apex'i cat-backs.

That will add zero horsepower.

Look in the FAQs for the "I'm new, what can I do for more power?" thread.

WTF? no lol, stock ignition is fine. Cap, rotor, wires and plugs are basic maintenance and wont gain you any power unless one or more of those 3 have something wrong with them.

Next step would be exhaust: header, cat, cat-back. Maybe some underdrive pulleys too. After that it would be tuning or start upgrading the valvetrain (cams and such)

there is tons of info in the FAQ

Lol, I hope this was a joke. That sounds more like a mild tune up.
