Default less positive offsets /fender flares flush /w wheel and tires

flame suit on incase this is too much of a newbie question.
i have a 97 itr that id like to change the suspension set up on come spring
i have limited knowledge regarding wheel/ tire sizing and was hoping for a little lesson or atleast some advice of where i can read up more about it.
my intent is to improve traction and better the appearance.
i already have an idea of what i want to do but totally clueless in terms of sizing it all out so there are no bumps and scrubs.
i want to get a set of j's racing fender flares and mate it with perferably 17's ( i was thinking about getting s2k sized wheels, but am again unsure of the compatibility of its offest and rim width on my car)
i want a mild staggered look with wider tires in the front to be fairly flush with the edge of the flares...

i realize there are many factors to take into consideration but i dont know any of the terms for things such as the wheels hitting the fender lining when steering all the way left and right, caliper clearance...etc

if you could point me in come direction it would be great.

Agree with the 16's. I believe the 16's pictured are 16x8's, unsure of the offsets.

there is a good thread that i got alot of usefull info on in the appearance and cosmetic thread, theres not alot of info but it goes along ways.

try searching for "235" i think itll come up in appearance and cosmetic,

a guy puts 235 40 17's all around on his integra, 40 offset 17x8.5 in the front, 30 offset 17x7.5 in the rear and they sit very very flush all all 4 fenders, thats where i got my info from, but it is a us front,

anyways the info i took from that is i *think* i am going to run 17x9 35 offset all around and 235 40 17 in the rear and 255 40 17 or 235 40 17 in front with jdm front and the j's fender flares, its a hard decision for me 255 or 235 in the front, 255 is massive.....

and 35 offset in the rear will give me a little clearance to tuck a little bit after rolling the shizzle out of the rear fenders.

does anybody have any jdm front carbon fenders for sale for a decent price, i dont wanna cut up my metal ones they too pretty
