Bought a new pair since my original ones got jacked. Any info I should know before putting them on? I figure I'll wash the car first and remove the wax around the holes, will a clay bar work for this? Also bought some touch up paint for the scratches left by the thieves, any advice from experienced owners on this paint. The scratches are underneath the emblems so I really don't need absolute perfection but I dont want it to look shitty either. Thanks fellas.

 

Clay bar removes contamination in the paint surface. It's not a good wax or crap remover. Plus you don't want to dirty up that expensive clay bar.

If there are left over glue from the old emblems, the best is to try to take it off with your nails. Then go over it with some pre-wax cleaner to strip it clean.

I wouldnt even bother putting them back on, probably get jacked again by the same people. Just go buy some regular silver Acura emblems and slap them on, i really dont think anyone on this board will think less of you for it and it will cause you less trouble in the future.

 

Mine got jacked last week....I kinda like the two hole trunk look...
