Default Bad knocking from my right front end..

Okay, i was driving to the post office today and i notice a knocking niose coming from my right front end. Its not my motor.. (just got a new motor so i kinda was hoping it was my motor ..).

It kinda sounds like when your abs is engaged.. But i dont have ABS. lol.. The sound is only noticeable when im slowing down (in gear) or in neutral. When im accelerating its fine, and when i use the brakes its also fine. But when i throw it in neutral or let off the gas it knocks like a ****. I was beating the **** outta it before and my axles had no clicking what so ever. So im kinda leaning towards a tie rod end.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Eric

Scope out that area, jack it up, shake the wheel, take a peek at the brakes, ive heard wheel bearings whine/rumble really bad.

Yea, it not like a rumbling/whine as a wheel bearing. Its more of a Knock knock knock...

Im gonna rip it all apart when i swap my motor in and i hope ill be able to find out whats wrong when i do so.

My axles seem to be good. I was chirping tires all day and i have no knocking when im accelerating or when my brake is allpied. Weird huh?

im gonna take my wheel off tommrow morning and see whats up down there. My swaybar endlink bushings are all rotted out.

Sounds like a CV joint going bad. But if it doesn't seem to happen more when you turn/accellerate? hmmm...

Interested in what it turns out to be...

Please keep us posted.

you know what.. it was making more knocking when i am negotiating right hand turns, it seems like its coming from the pass. side. So maybe it is mt cv joint.. i hope not.

I recently replaced both drive shafts (1/2 shafts) on My 94 accord. It really wasn't a bad job at all. Next is a full bushing replacement. And the boots on my steering rack are shot as well.
