I've been on Honda tech and lately i've seen so many JDM Conversion questions asked. I really hate to add to this but search really sucks. I type in " JDM Support " or " JDM Bumper Support" and it comes up with stupid stuff for sale. ??
Anyways, on with the problem! I don't know if anyone's really seen the picture of my car when it got into a wreck.

Well, i coughed up a JDM front end conversion from this and its on the way. I had to cough up some extra money too, i even gave up 2 of my HID bulbs ($250 each from the dealer - I get them for $50 each ) just so i could send the parts costs higher. Well, i got the JDM and its on its way.The body shop works with insurance only and the only concern at this moment is that he refuses to put on the JDM Bumper Support. Its not DOT legal and he doesn't wanna be liable for anything like that. I can understand that and i totally respect him for doing this, after all he's right. The thing right now is that i have to find a Bumper support that i can put on!
I posted a few weeks ago. I wanted to know if the 92-95 Civic Bumper support fits. I've gotten a few responeses saying that it does fit. My friend " ghetto R" is doing his JDM conversion too. They started on his R before they got a chance to start on mine. They ordered his kit first too. Well, they got it and thats when the problem was realized. They ordered the Bumper Support for him so he can get his car finished and start on mine. IT DOESN'T FIT. The body Shop used a 92-95 Civic Coupe Bumper support, think it would be a sedan one instead?? So, if there's anyone out there can can answer this with the fullest detail and knows for sure if it does or how it works, please. Maybe its the body shop being stupid but i can't exactly walk in there and tell him how to do his job and call him an idiot, esp when 01-0686 is in his hands. Thanks ppl.

Thanks for the reply. I don't to play with a bumper that costs 400 bucks to see if it would fit though. How would i need to modify the bumper support? Have you seen the bumper support? The reason i dont' wanna use the JDM one is cause its soo flimsy. THe USDM one's like 5 inches thick all the way around, the JDM one is seriously 1 inch thick. It can't handle a 5mph crash. If i am parked, i do'nt want someone to bump into me and totally fuq up my front end because some idiot was backing up or something into me.

Where exactly did he have to cut it or shave the bumper support? He's watching his back because he doesn't want to be liable for it. I would rather have the USDM support because its thicker and so forth. I do'nt know. I gotta get it taken are of and its just being annoying because my conversions gonna be in but the only thing that needs to be taken care of is the bumper support. They tried the civic coupe Bumper Rebar and its not fitting because the top of the bumber won't mount on. THe clips and the holes are not lined up. WHat kind of modification was needed??
i used my stock integra bumper support all though the body shop need to cut it up to make it fit...
oh well though... he bearly had to cut the edges..

I never heard of suck a thing..sorry.. My body shop wanted to weld me up a custom peice but...never happened. I always thought that they made it with a bumper cuz it would be lighter... good luck though..by the way, if you can firgure it out, i wanna know.

Just do what I did, get the Stock USDM Teg bumper support and put the Mugen bumper on! It fits nice and snugly behind it and it's legal. You can try and source a used bumper and sell the parts you don't need.
