Yeah I was just thinking that same thing. Even though the R seems to have some damage, I think the blazer ended up worse in the collision. Would you mind refreshing our memories as to what exactly happened?

Alright guys, thats for the sympathy. hahaha. It was a pretty bad accident to be honest. Get this. I was with my boss's dad going to home depot to get some light bulbs. I got the light bulbs for the shop and then we were cruising back. I stopped at a stop light and when it turned green, i went along traffic and took off. The blazer was sitting at the next intersection waiting to turn. He was facing me at the time he was waiting to turn at the intersection. Right when i pulled into the intersection, he turned anyway and we hit. It was bad because i didn't see him come. The car was still able to start, no airbags deployed. Eveyrone seemed to be in good condition, no one really hurt cept for my boss's dad. We got out of the car and the police arrived on bikes and a few squad cars made it there. We were stuck at the intersection blocking traffic while the authorities scramble to try and quickly reroute everyone. As soon as the officer came to take a report, he asked me my side of the story. I told him what i just wrote. Then he took a few comments from the other guy. " this young man was traveling at an extremely fast rate of speed. blowing stop lights, cutting people off, driving recklessly." I went up to him and confronted him about his statements. " what the fuq are you talking about? there's no way at an intersection this close together that i'd be able to even touch the speed limit! Fuqin idiot". well, i called my friend at the shop that i worked at and he came out with the digicam and we took pictures of the accident. We even got a picture of that fools face. I dont know if the picture is good enough to see but there' are 2 hooks on the front of that Chevy blazer. That hook pierced my front bumper and hooked onto the inside of my bumper reinforcement bar. The cars couldn't be pulled apart!~!~!~ IT was the first time EVER that i saw the JAWS OF LIFE. They used the J.O.L. to cut my bumper support to get the cars apart ( i will post pics as soon as i get them uploaded on to my server page ). Well, after the cars were seperated, the officer drove my car ( stalled out 5 times before he pulled away because of my clutch ) into a parking lot. After that, the officer walked up to me and gave me back my insurance card and drivers license ( complimented me on my car as well because it looked " sporty ") and walked back to the other guy. He issued him a ticket for Failing to Yield to Oncomming traffic while he was turning so clearly it was him at fault.
*Highlight of the day* After the officer left the scene, i walked up to him and said " Yeah, thats righ bitch. I ran the stop light, i was doing 80mph and i hit you and its ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!! Imma rip your insurance a new azzhole!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAH."

Younger people in sports cars usually get screwed in this sort of situation. I got rear ended by a school bus when he tried to pass me on the left in a no passing zone, he didnt see my left turn signal, and when he was in the left lane, a car was coming towards him so he dived back into the right and rear ended me. Of course the driver told the cop "he was zipping through traffic, cutting people off and then he cut me off and i couldnt stop because the ground was wet." He didnt get a ticket, and their insurance company is denying my company's claim for the damage. Sorry to hear about your accident, at least johnny law was on your side. Good luck with the repairs. By the way, what happened to your boss's dad?

 

ouch. looks exactly the same as my sister's 98 gsr after she wrecked it. she was pulling out of fred meyer and didnt see the pickup coming, so the pickup nailed her the same exact way.

anyway the damage doesn't look all that bad. will the insurance company cover all the costs of the jdm front? doesn't look like you even need a new radiator support or anything. on my sister's integra there was a small bend in the radiator support that was easily straightened out on a frame, and it needed a new hood, front bumper, and left headlight.
