The car doesn't move at all? Any noises? Even if the clutch was slipping badly, it should at least slightly move the car and make a noise. How quickly did this happen? Instantly? Over a few months? Tranny shift cables still connected at the tranny? Need more details.

well, the car moves but BARELY. i tired to bring my friend home today and i had to go up a little *** hill and it wouldnt even go up it. the max speed i hit is like 20MPH and im like in 1st gear hitting 5K. it happend this morning when i went to school. i was like an hour late. and it happened instantly. i didnt look at the shift cables yet though. but yeah, so when i brought the car back to my driveway, i put the e-brake up, put the car right into 1st gear with no problem and fully let go to the clutch. the car just sat there with no problem; it didnt even stall ! also, there is no noise.

Alright. Your clutch is definitely slipping then. Rules out shift cables since you're driving it.

If all this happened 'instantly', as in drove fine yesterday, but sucks today, then I'd guess it's something serious. Does you pedal pressure feel normal when you depress the clutch? You installed it yourself? How many miles have you driven on the clutch? Were you 'playing' around with the car at any point when it might have started slipping?

It seems highly unlikely, but it sounds as if either the pressure plate might not be fully bolted to the flywheel (ie. bolts torqued incorrectly, and might have heated up and snapped off), or they weren't tightened down enough to begin with. Either that or your clutch disc has killed itself prematurely due to either a defect or some serious abuse. You'd really have to pull the tranny and take a look to be certain. If you can easily get under the car, you might remove the clutch scatter shield and confirm that the pressure plate is held flush to the flywheel.

the clutch pedal feels perfectly fine, my father's friend installed the clutch for me; hes a mechanic and ****. ive driven about 3 - 5K on the clutch. and nope i never played with it yet. and yeah, i was thinking if it wasn't torqued on tight enough, or something like that. and i never really abused that clutch beisdes like once or twice. but thanks for the help anyways ! sucks i gotta take the bus to school now. LOL.
