let's say if WRX is fully modify for AutoX will it be 80% close to our itr ?
i;ve also heard people say AWD isnt good at cornering, is it true ?

i'm thinking since our R was design to track, it wouldnt make sense to compare our R with a a stock wrx, therefoere i'd like to ask those who has wrx and itr owners to tell me if i ever modified the wrx will it handle close to itr ?

 

Autox is about driver ability.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who could spank stock ITRs in stock WRXs at autox.

 

if someone was comfortable with drifting in the WRX I'm sure they could run quite hard against an R.

 

Drifting isn't the fastest way around an autox course.

Though I do have a lot of fun during the fun runs in the 330.

I'd say left foot braking would be a key element to a fast time in a WRX. Keep that turbo spooled at all times.

 

man dont bring this driver thing again, really tired of people always think with super good driver itr is undefeatable,
that's why i said for people who has itr and wrx what they think, it will be the same drive driving both car and give an oppion of what they think

Also for autox purposes, a WRX could easily achieve the same level of performance as an ITR with proper modifications. Nearly anything can achieve the same level of performance with the right modifications.

If your talking about autocross performance, TIRES makes the biggest difference.

 

I'll get back to you when I start doing some suspension work to it. It will definitely need to drop, get stiffer sway bars and the stock RE-92's suck some sreious donkey dick! But, the AWD is amazing.....complete control!

well.. i used to have a impreza 2.2 turbo, and "for me" to compare with ITR "stock to stock"..i don't feel the AWD actully have any better handling than ITR and on the free way AWD doesn't really do a sh@t...but it's pretty good when exiting a corner and launch..

it is all in the driver. Heck in the SoCal AutoX's we're plagued with getting beat by Mazda Protoge's and Ford Escort GT's in the STS division Even preludes sometimes can't get close to them
