ok, the other i was in a hurry and was putting in a new batt. well in my hurring i hooked the batt up backwords, man i feel dumb. now there is no power. what would have gottin messed up? hopefuly not the wireing harrness but plz help me out

 

check all the fuse's first

 

The main fuses are under this cover behind the battery:


It probably blew the one marked main..

if it's the 60amp block style fuse, you can pick these up at most auto parts store. It's totally different than your normal blade style fuse. I popped mine a while back..

 

Oh BTW, you'll never do that again.... <smile>

 

ive done that before....

 

ive never done this but i have blown the 60A a couple times! Easy to do if you spark tha battery with a tool. I bet money its the 60A.

 

i dont even remember how many times i touched the terminals or alternator with a tool by an accident, blowing the 60a

My dad was in a hurry once.. His Volvo 780 (18 wheeler with 4 batterys) wasnt starting. He hooked up jumper cables trying to start it.. Turns out he switched the cables.. The batterys almost burnt with his truck..
