ok so the drivers side tire has a lean to it an anytime i lock the steering wheel all the way to the left theres this grinding noise and the steering gets really difficult an stiff so i took it to the mechanic an he told me bad tie rod but he's charging 170 can anyone please walk me thru it? could it be just the boot or ???

$170 is a good deal if you have no goddamn clue what you're doing. If you want to do it, download a Honda factory manual. You'll need a good pair of Vise-Grips and a big f'ing cold chisel if its an inner tie rod.
