well i had a clunking noise in my front left tire and decided to pull it off and take a look see. and i tugged on the tie rod and it clunked pretty loud. i dont think it is the outer so i know it is either the inner or rack and pinion. my question is whats the best way to truly tell if it is the tie rod or rack and pinion? i want to drop the power steering so would i be better off getting a manual rack and pinion if that is whats bad? or should i stay to the stock one? and should i put the es polyurethane bushing in there when im in there or does it make a difference?

Did you make sure your tie rod ends aren't bad? I had knock once like that and the problem was a loose tie rod end, where is screws onto the inner tie rod. The lock nut came loose.

there is alot of play in the wheel and rod. i dunno i will check it tommorrow. thanks for the help at least one person can chime in

i am having the same problwm
but mine is loose inside the boot
can i change just that parts?
it is like a ball joint inside of the boot
any one know?

try honda dealerr or a local parts store you might have to go through honda i dunno
