I have 3" Kteller piping with a 14" magnaflow resonator and Apexi WS2 "turbo" muffler. I would have to agree get a aftermarket system. A lot less hassle. Either thermal http://www.clubrsx.com/cr/THR-....html or skunk2 http://www.clubrsx.com/cr/SK2-....html would be fine. Dont get HKS nor greddy. They are too small for a turbo application

Not all custom is garbage. It just depends who does the custom exhaust work.

As for you. Why do you have a turbo RSX and not have a clue how big of a pipe to run and what type of muffler you want? A friend of mine has a civic with nice size turbo with a spoon muffler sounds quiet unless driven hard

Quiet = Restrictive (back pressure)

Loud = Free flowing
You'll have to pick the point that is right for you in that spectrum. I'd go with a quieter muffler at the loss of power/ricer attention.

So you don't have a muffler now?

I'd do this. Turbo setups are quieter than N/A anyways.

I'm telling you, the Thermal R&D is the best sounding turbo exhaust ever, and it still flows tons of air. It's nice and deeeeeep, not the slightest bit raspy. You'll love it.
I almost shed a tear when I had to sell my Thermal, with it's pretty stainless steel glistening in the sunlight....
Sigh..those were the days.

I have given you links to exhausts that are available to you and I have also told you what I am running. My setup is stupid quiet. Dont worry about a turbo setup being loud with a 3" exhaust. The turbo itself muffles most of the noise.
