Default Turbo noob question

Hi guys,

i have a D16Z6 and i've decided to Turbocharged it. I want the power to kick in at about 3k RPM and last till at least redline if possible, what kind of turbo will be good for me? i've heard many people running T3 50trim and 57trim and they say its a good street turbo...what are the parts i will need for a complete rebuild to get about 300whp, also heard people using piston like viatara and Rods like eagle...how about the others? cam and valves ? do i have to change these? can anyone write me a detailed write up one the D16Z6 Turbo build?

If you get 300whp out of a stock D16 you are amazing. You need to definetly need to build it. I would suggest getting a B16 or GSR and turboing that.

not to seem rude or anything man... but you should do a little bit of searching on this forum first and a lot of reading...

But yes you should get forged pistons,rods,etc... and if you are aiming for 300hp on a D series you prbably will need valvetrain upgade... i also recomend an engine swap, i personaly chose the B18b non vtec engine due to it being so cheap, common, strong, trquey fun... i then slapped on a supercharger for even more fun.

enjoy...

Forget the swap...get a simple Eagle/Vitara build for less than $500 and you'll be able to make over 300whp reliably. Also, unless you have to meet emissions, ditch the idea of the Graddy kit as they're expensive and dont perform as well as other setups for the same price...

do anyone out there do a complete turbo setup (done) with the engine itself and export it to other county? i think those people who do mass production is better than me setting up my own...i am living in singapore anyway...so what you meant by $500 dollars was USD or?
