Default recommended turbo setup, need some input

well after 2 years of bolt on mods on my 92' prelude with a good running H23a1, i want some more power. i have chosen to go towards turbo charging. i have made some key decisions allready. i am going to purchase a cast manifold and i got a Greedy bov, and i am going to do a slim front mount air-air intercooler. btw i drive the car only in the summer and only put about 4000 miles a year on it.

my question is what size, and trim turbo should i purchase?

what are the advantages of using a ball bearing turbo?

any brands of turbos i should avoid?

i have been looking at turbonetics ceramic ball bearings are they good?

what psi boost is safe on my H23a1? stock internals but has good even compression

and i am thinking of using E-manage for my tuning, do they work good for boosted applications?

will i need bigger injectors if im only going to run around 5-7psi?

i am only looking at a 75-95 hp increase and im not trying to build an insane drag car, but just a fun fast sports car to occasionally take to the track, any experienced turbo gurus please give me some advise, thanks!

For an approximately 300whp build, you could use something in the range of a 50-57 trim T3/T04e or b. The advantages of ball bearings are generally misunderstood. The Garrett GT-R series is designed around the ball bearing CHRA and spools faster and is more efficient at a higher pressure ratio than its competitors but that is due to the wheel design and the center cartridge. The main difference from something like GT3076r and the BW S256 is the transient response or the time it takes to respool after shifting.

PSI on any turbo setup isnt a factor; however, the power created is. The static compression, efficiency of the setup and the fuel grade are the important factors which determine the power you can safely make on the stock block.

E-manage is one of the worse programs to use...there are so many free-ware programs like Crome around so there's no need to use anything else.

Bigger injectors are a must. Use the 6cc/whp rule to figure out injector sizing. If you're shooting for 300whp, then 550s would do the job.

thanks a lot Schister66, anyone else got any recommendations? what type/brand of wastegate do you recommend?
