Default Tranny Install issues

So, i blew the tranny in my civic last monday. Finally got the new tranny yesterday. So today, we started tearing it all apart today, got the old tranny out with no MAJOR problems, now, getting it back in...different story....We cant manage to get the splines or whatever to align and its being a pain in the ****. We we cant get it to get flush with the block. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, ill post pics of the old tranny in a bit, theres a nice big hole in it...

What year is the car, and what year is the new trans? There are different spline counts for different years, you need to make sure that your trans matches the clutch(splines). Also this is all assuming its a Dseries.

do not, I repeat DO NOT start driving the bolts down if it doesn't slip right on. align everything first. turn the motor over by hand and have another person slip it on at the same time.

Hell no, dont do this. you are probably going to bend the disk and then it will wear the disk uneven, DONT do this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check the year of the tranny and clutch, Also you should have an alignment tool to use if the years match on the clutch and tranny.
