Default plz help

my car previous owner disconnected the CEL light on the dash, civic 98 lx, how can i re-connect it again and check the cells cuz i guess i'll be having some

It all depends on how he did it... you have to trace the circuit.

pull cluster out and see if there is any wired cut or maybe bulb removed from CEL slot.
