timing belt broke help me god
okay my timing belt snapped. i through a new timing belt on there, along with a water pump and thermostat. it ran good but it idled really awkwardly. it kinda sounded like it was about to die when it was stationary. i got confused so i did a compression test and found that it was blowing like 175 except one. which was blowing like 30. i take it to this mechanic who says one of the valves are bent and it needs to be completely re bored. i'm like cool fine.... so i take it to the machine shop and they say ALL 16 valves are messed up. at this point i'm looking at like 1200 dollars to fix it... but i want to say the hell with it and just drive it because it drives fine but idles awkwardly. im just... so confused. and angry.

What does, the block?

for $1200 you could damn near find a b16 head, or at least a gsr, $100 for oil line kit and a wireing harness and you got an ls/vtec, screw just fixing it when you can make it faster

and then blow it up in 2 months
unless you want to have problems, do it right the first time...and skip the ls vtec
if you're not confident in your ability to complete the valve job, search around...i'm sure you can get this done alot cheaper
