hey guys. i got a homie that just picked up a right hand drive DA. the problem is that it is blowing out blue smoke.thats what he said. any help? thanks guys

 

he's burning oil.

 

Blue smoke usually indicates hes burning oil. Try to do compression/leak down test find out where the problem is.

so chances are his rings are shot or the valve seals are leaking. depends if its blowing blue smoke when he hits the gas or lets off of it.

 

he said it blows blue smoke when he hits the gas but when its idling its blowing a little smoke

 

yea, thats horrible. lol time for a rebuild.

 

mine shots blue smoke when i shift.its weird but all the cylinders are fine.just weird

thats valve seals.

 

does that affect performance,because the car runs real strong,now that i remenber i did overrreved the car its an ls and i sent it all the way to 8000rpm,so stupid of me

that is bad on your part but i dont know how you did that unless you changed the computer somehow since its goverened. does it affect performance? a little bit but not much depending on the amount of damage. but in either case its not the BEST for your car....

EXACTLY which is why i will never buy a vehicle on honda-tech at cost. 4 grand for a DA?!?!?! HELL NAW i would give about 2 grand TOPS. there is a rockstar can in the bay, nothing looks clean or in good condition at all. you know what i can buy for 4 grand? an awesome condition ls say around the years 97 or 98.

i dont know if mine is blue or not but when i give it a little smoke comes out.
