crx y8 swap

Default crx y8 swap

i have a 88 crx still with an a6 block but ive swapped a y8 head. i wired vtec and wired the jumper harness and yet the car still wont start with the p28 even with the obd2 or obd1 distributor. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

wierd....i have the same set up only using stock obdo dizzy and pm6 w/vtec controller....no probs...and obdo dizzy will just bolt right up to it. no probs ever tho.

Ya dude, I have my y8 running OBD0 with no issues at all....vtec wired into a chipped 90-91 PM6, and controlled with the shift-light option in turboedit.

Maybe rethink your strategy. Sell the jumper harness, both dizzy's and the P28....You'll have enough money to pick up a PM6, a chip burner, and STILL have money left over.

TurboEdit is free, and it'll enable you to choose where you want VTEC to engage/disengage. Plus you can do some tuning.

Just my 2 cents.

Edit: Do some more reading on minime swaps...You might have to change your camgear. I have a complete y8 swap, so i wouldnt know, But i've read somewhere that you need to use the a6 camgear or something. RESEARCH
