ok so my buddy was driving... he took a right and the car died..... (had nothing to do with the right hand turn)

pushed the car into a parking lot and tried starting... turns over fine...

checked cam timing looks good...

checked fuel.... good....

checked spark.... its there....

checked fuses..... still in one piece....

now every once in a while the D4 light in the cluster will light up and sometimes flash.....

no check engine light... main relay "clicks"

**** we even checked the blinker fluid.....

now im no auto trans guru or anything.... but is there a no start fault that could be caused from the tranny? (oh btw he has been having tranny problems lately)... but with no check engine light, fuel, spark, timing seems good,

i mean the car was driving down the road.... stalled... and now wont fire back up.... thoughts please....

 

Check your safety neutral switch?

<~~ not an auto guy, so does it serve the same purpose as it does on a manual?

it cranks... or turns over.... just doesnt fire... tried in nuetral and park....

and if it does differ from that of its manual counterpart how so? where is it? and how do i test it?

im still getting a spark, otherwise i wouldhave checked there first..

 

Same exact thing happened to me, and just happened to my buddy.
I still had spark, but i guess not enough.

I think if it was the ignition coil wouldn't your engine light wud come on so im wondering about your dizzy
