both of my front speakers dont work. they used to work every once in a while but now they dont work at all. give me some suggestions. it is a 1990 honda accord ex

Have you tried turning the fader control?

 

It definitely sounds like a loose connection if its cutting in and out like that. Do the speakers seem to cut in and out at the same time?

 

irst thing i would do is check the wiring from speakers and stereo "the whole wiring" if the wiring is OK then you shouln't waist time and just buy new ones..

Yeah I would pull the radio out and check all the wiring, also the speakers.

 

You still haven't told us if it is the original stock HU, [radio] or an aftermarket HU, same question again for the speakers, are they stock or aftermarket? 94

PS, do you have or can you borrow a multimeter?
If not, go and spend $25 and get one, you will need one if you are going to troubleshoot electrical problems in your car. 94
