Default Speakers won't work??

I recently got my 95 hatch painted and ever since I got the car back from them, my radio hasn't worked. It's an aftermarket radio and when I turned the car on and plugged my face plate in (which they gave to me while they were painting) it said "miswiring - check wiring - then reset" on the screen.

I checked the wiring on the speakers and the wiring that plugs into the radio and nothing is frayed or appears to be cut or anything obvious. I only have two speakers since its a CX. Is it possible the speakers just stopped working? I plugged in another aftermarket radio from my husbands crx and it didn't display anything wrong on the screen but no sound would play from the speakers. It's an older radio than mine but mine worked fine in his car.

I don't know where to even start. Get new speakers and see if they work? Mine worked fine before and sounded pretty good.

try running the speakers directly off the deck with a jumper wire. if they work, the problem is in your wiring somewhere.

So it was working before and now it won't. Did you or anyone happened to remove the headunit from the car?
