hey guys i just picked up a 96 hatch with a h22a swap. it has fully done head,cams,450cc injectore rail,regulator,wires,header,ud pulleys. Car has p72 ecu with hondata s300. car will only start with the b18c5 turbo map. also it will idle fair with that but the car will not rev above 2500 rpm. driving in 1st gear once it reaces that rpm it just drops rpm completly. no codes on hondata. vtec is not hooked up could that do it? has a vtecfrog.com jumper. Is there any wires or sensor that could cause this. even at idel in nuatrual will not rev above 2500 rpm.45. to 50 fuel pressure. new plugs, wires, dist. no one i talk to can figure why it will only run on this map

Hum..that sounds tricky. Personally if it was me..I would take off the hondata & slap a p28 ecu on it..I got h22a eg hatch & I run p28. Works Perfect. I tried to run a p72 & it would bog in and out plus vtec was being gay also. I highly doubt spark plug wires etc..you mentioned have anything to do with low idle & drop at a certain rpm..

 

Start with the basics, ie GROUNDS. And try a p28 and some stock injecters. Keep it as simple as possible. Do 1 thiing at a time so u know whats working and whats not. GL...

 

That happend to my friends eg with the h22a and it had the same problem. it ended up being that the tps sensor plug got switched with another plug with the same connector. idk if that helps you but check little things like that. sometimes its something really stupid like that.
