BORG WARNER S372 VS S366
whats up guys i'm building a streetable drag car its a 94 coupe dart sleeved block 85mm9.7:1 compression cp pistons manley rods fully built head S2 pro 1 cams ETC ETC.....i am debating between a s372 and a s366 i was wondering if anyone had first hand expeirance with either and coul;d give me some pros and cons of each turbo and possibly spool up time on the 372
depends on the class you want to run. the S372 will be turbo street capable where as you will still be under the limit(assuming the turbo rules are the same) in power street with the S366

yeah but the 370 is "not mass produced" as i was told and is high as hell because of it. $2200ish

It comes down to one thing. How much power are you trying to make?</TD></TR></TABLE>
everybody knows you select a turbo based off of how much boost you want to run, geez.

i dont plan on racing competively just a fun car 2 drive on the track and on the street i really dont have HP goals i mean 600 + what ever the car makes i just dont want 2 get the 372 and and not be able 2 spool it and not have a fun street car i was leaning towards the 366 but was also considering the 372 kinda stuck in the middle
Hey Jay,
For what you're doing, the 372 is overkill. You're going to be on the street 95% of the time and will be waiting for it to spool 95% of the time
366 is perfect.

the 366 spools really well if you are only looking for 600 you might want to try the 362 . if 90% of the driving is on the street i would use the 62 call bullseye and see what they recommend be realistic with your power goals and what kind of driving you are going to do. i drove my car around with the s366 one day and i thought it was a little lazy for every day driving

So far we have made 680whp with the S362, that is the turbo of my choice for your application also. The S362 is actually my favorite turbo we carry for the street.

Both Turbo work amazing...
with the S366 we made 713whp @ 37psi
with the S372 we made 8**whp @ 41psi
with both turbo you should be able to go into the 9's no problem...
Good luck
BullseyePower best Turbo's in the market period....
thanks for your time

I have an S366 and i love the heck out of it. I have made plenty of pulls on the dyno over 690hp
So far there is a few issues with fitting a 372 in an EG. So you might want to consider that as well as there is no "production manifold" to my knowledge that will keep it from being on the back of the headlight.
i know it is being worked on but i dont think its close to being finished.
My 366 spools no different to me than my 35R did on my car from last year as a matter of fact by my logs its identical
you cant even run 15psi of boost on from the 366 on BFG drag radials on the street, it just destroys them
I couldnt even stop spinning on the dyno, broke both axles at the track, have to buy a few sizes larger tire to dyno the car as well...........be careful what you wish for.....you just might get it

You can get the Small cover on the S372 we had it until the other day when we switch over to the Race cover and we mounted the turbo facing forward...
any top mount manifold will fit the s372 with the small cover...
thanks for your time...
