Cigarette lighter dont work
I had this problem in my car. What i'd do (besides checking the fuses) is checking to see how tight the connection is on the back of the cig. lighter. If you can stick your finger in the lighter and turn it or even move it around then it isn't tight enough. It being unscrewed just a little bit can not give you sufficiant power to light anything.
Let me know what you find out. I might be able to guide you through the procedures on removing the panals to get to it--if that's the case.

Was the car used when you bought it and it came with an aftermarket radio?
I know when I was installing mine, the radiofuse would break because of the cig lighter being connected. (They share the same fuse) So I just unplugged the cig lighter connector behind the panel.

Yea I would suggest opening it up to see if the cig lighter is connected... Does the cig light up when you turn on parking lights and stuff? It's suppose to have like a green effect around the white border.

If you open the hood or drivers door there will be a sticker that says WHAT YEAR accord you have.
Some years have a thermal pop off in a plastic case on the back of the lighter socket.
Because people hold the lighter in to get it white hot so they can drop their roaches on it for good nose hits, and that blows the pop off.
You can resolder the pop off tab.
FWIW the trim light is a different circuit
