i think i could be a heater core but i took a quick look and couldnt find it. could this be my proplem ?or could it be somthin else .it gets warm once in a while for abought a min . any help would be nice its like 7degrees out there!

 

does your temp gauge move? its most likely your thermostat

 

funny you should mention this...i had the same problem...check three things...first, check your coolant level in your radiator...my coolant was extremely low and thats why it did not stay warm...check your hose tightness and run a pressure check on your radiator...make sure not coolant is evading...also, like hondretti said, check your thermostat and housing...this goes along with the pressure test but if any gas or pressure is escaping there, your looking at a problem here...

^^ yep i had the same thing happen to my girls 2000 celica nad the thermostat was the problem..
