Are there any diy's for a headgasket replacement for an 89 Integra LS out there? I haven't torn into the engine yet, but I'm curious as to what I'm gettin into. Thanks!

 

headgasket is like open heart surgery. not quite brain surgery, but still it takes alot of patience. if you have a friend whos done it before, buy a 6 pack and some pizza and make a day out of it.

 

the first time doing anything serious is hard but i can honestly say the second time u do the headgasket will be 50 times easier.

there is a DYI on here somewhere that shows u how to do it on a GSR engine... if u search u can find it... The D16s the 1st gens have arent that different... If ur doing this U cannot do it correctly without a helms or some sort of automotive manual with all the specs...

It is the best investment u can buy for any car u plan to keep long term.. and by that i mean over 3 years
