Default Help please, Running an Idle Air Valave without the Manifold!

So I am using an aftermarket Venom Intake Manifold and as you probably know it does not have a spot for an idle air control valve to be hooked up on the manifold. They make an adapter for the manifold to use the idle air control valve but I am unable to find one online anymore. The motor is a z6 block with a a6 head. The head is mildly built is why I used that head. So my question is how can I run the idle air hoses and so fourth to make it idle up when cold, then hold idle when warm without mounting it to the manifold? Thanks for any input ahead of time!

Ive seen ppl drill holes in the back, add nipples (yes, nipples, lol) and run vacuum lines to the IACv, which is zip-tied to like the brake lines, just behind the manifold.

well currently I took IACV and ran one of the lines to a nipple on the manifold, and the other one to another nipple on the intake piping. But it still wont hold idle when first started. It will idle once its warmed up, but not at the beginning.

Look at the FITV possibly, it controls idle until warmed up, then iacv takes over.

Fast idle themo valve, i have a d16z6 so mine is under the throttle body (although i think FITV placement may be more related to the OBD of the motor. Theres a diy in here somewhere, i cleaned mine today, it helped a lot.

*edit* heres the link to the diy (its in my favorites, lol) https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1564019

well im using a type-r throttle body so im thinking its not on the throttle body I think I know what your talking about. you take off a cover then use a chisel to tighten the big screw inside in order to re-adjust the idle. I dont think I have that set-up on my motor.

On the b18b i/m i have in my garage the fitv is on the intake mani itself i think. But yes you use a scrwe driver or something to tighten it, might as well clean it though while your at it. *edit* and i think you right that you may not have it on the i/m your using.

so maybe I should take off the type-r throttle body and run a stock one so that I can have the FITV and hook that up so that it will idle up at start-up and then the way I have the idle air control valve ran now should still work to hold the idle once warmed up.
