ok soo i just did a d16y8 swap and having problems starting the car, my question is if i put my old d16y7 TB on the d16y8 motor will it work? and switch back to my stock ecu as well

What starting problems are you having? Is this manual or auto? Is it 96-98 or 99-00 Civic?

I think i have a better chance eyes closed spinning 5 times then trying to shoot a dart at a dart board hitting a bulls eye then i do figuring out your problem. MORE INFO!

 

will its a 96 civic cx with a d16y8 swap 5-speed useing p28 ecu. it starts just wit a very low idle thens dies. car has not been running for the past month now, and its my only ride. i made a few treads but could not fix the problem to fix this. the 3-2 iacv was converted and i unpinned and repin the pins needed in the ecu. but sill not luck. im at the point where i just wanna throw a firecracker in the gas tank. also willing to pay any 1 that will get my car running agian. been carpooling to school for the past month

 

If you give it gas does it stay on? Try that idle screw? How long does it idle until it dies? If you want to make the hike bring it down here and well look at it for you. You could try contacting REDZONE, they are up in the bay area. Dont really know who else is there.

 

if i give it gas, it revs up then die.
