condensation in headlights
a few weeks ago here in L.a. we actually had some rain and, well one of my headlights got some condensation in it. i really hate how it looks but it won't go away even though it's been dry since then. what can i do to get rid of it? it's also a little bit foggy inside, too.
on a dry warm day and a day that your not using your car take off the rubber seal and just leave it like that for a while this will allow the water to leave the headlight and hopefully get ride of that foggy look.
You mean the rubber seal that goes along the headlight into where the bumper sits?
i think my main concern about doing that would be putting the rubber part back on correctly.
is there any way to tell where there's a little hole or something?

Just take out the weather plug, grab some of the silicon packets that come with like beef jerky and shove them in both headlights. Put the weather plug back, good to go.
I put like 3 in each of my headlights, doesn't condense anymore.

it happens to mine all the time,..i just hook my air compressor up, take the bulb out and stick the air hose into another flexible hose, and run that part up into the headlight then just pull the trigger on the air hose, and it will go right away.
remove the rubber seal in the back of the headlights are placed right, then run the high beams and low beam on to let the condensation evaporate out. worked with me before. then place rubber seal back on properly and it should be fine, i live in the valley and we get more humidity out here than down town.
My passenger side light did that every rain when I got it. It was actually a defective headlight housing. My car was under warranty then and it was replaced for free ($750.00 part+labor). You might have a defective housing as well. Look into it. Since it was replaced neither light condenses at all no matter how much it rains.
