im not sure about your answer, but if you go to the FAQ link at the top of the forum there are a couple skunk2 IM links that will probably answer your question.....

If the OEM OBD2 ECU does not accept a plugged in but otherwise disconnected EGR valve, then that's why.

If the OBD2 ECU only cares about it being plugged in, *shrug*.

it causes a check engine light for egr which then disables the ATTS.

it says now on the site that it comes with the egr mount kit...does that mean it can be used on a SH?

The EGR mount kit is a bracket that you can bolt your EGR valve to. This allows the EGR valve to easily remain in the engine bay, connected to the harness and vac. lines.

It will not, however, be bolted to the IM in any way or functional in it's original role as a valve for exhaust gases. The S2 IM eliminates that.

Obd2 ecu's do verify the functionality of the egr valve, not just if it's plugged in. Ie. you'll get the 'Insufficient Flow' code if it's plugged in, but not attached to the manifold doing it's job.
