those have been around for some time now, most people refer to them as interfoolers, i'm not sure how they actually work, my guess is not that well or else the major brand names would have picked them up by now.

yeah i was about to say. where have you been dude. those are years old. i probably wouldn't try it though. it has a better chance of soaking up water than the CAI does. if it never rains in your area then go for it. you can always get a bypass but i don't know how effective they really are so why chance it.

wow huh. it says it has a plastic shield in front of it. I have never heard of this before. I thought an interfooler was just a intercooler with no turbo.

The whole point of the thing is to be as un-restrictive as possible and allow the most airflow. Of course we can see this wont work! You are basically looking at an uncovered filter that will get dirty real quick and probably soak up water!

This won't soak up water. This will GRAB up the water.

A bypass valve does make you loose some power, because it acts as the filter when you soak up water. I want to MAKE sure my engine lives though, so I dont wanna destroy my engine for $100.

You live in New Orleans. If hydro-lock is your goal, go for it

Yea those things are junk. There have been plenty of tests on these and they didn't make any gains over any other cai. Plus they cost an arm and a leg to boot.
