What is everyone recommended way to remove the flywheel without air tools. It is a tricky thing to do since you put the 17mm socket/wretch on it ad put pressure on it and the whole thing spins.
phillips screwdriver... put it in one of the fly wheel holes and there is a certain spot behind the flywheel where the screwdriver will stay held. that... and... a cheater bar.

i find it allot easier i you just get a rubber hammer or a a mettal one, what ever you please and just place the socket onto a bolt and wack the handle, it is so good you dont need to hold the flywheel.

try it. and let me know how it worked out.

That was the original method that I was using but I still got spin and not enough torque to get the bolt moving. It is probably because the last time I changed the clutch I was able to use a lift/air tools so the bolt are pretty snug.

Good practice is to use air tools only to loosen and use a torque wrench to tighten bolts to spec.

Use the same method as above but use a wrench instead
12mm wrench is good, take the closed side and put a tranny bolt threw it
and bolt it at the top corner (left or right corner depending on if you want to
loosen or tighten the flywheel bolts). Then take the Open ended side of the wrench
and put it against a 10mm clutch bolt that you must put in the flywheel.
Here is a ghetto diagram:
