Default JDM 4-1 Header bolt to stock ITR catback?

Hey guys, just curious if a JDM 4-1 header and Carsound 2.5" cat will bolt up to the stock Type R catback without problems. Reason being, is that I am selling my Apex N1, and don't want to encounter any problems when I try and bolt up my stock catback after I remove the Apex N1.

TIA

Chris

Depending on the Carsound 2.5" cat. Carsound only sells the core, the person you buy it from has a welder do the work s make it fit.

But most likely it will work.

The cat back flange is located in the same position on the ITR and LS Integras and 00-01 GSRs as the after market cat backs so you won't have a problem bolting your stuff up. Where fitment issues come up are with JDM length type exhausts.

The only issue you'll have is the bottleneck.

Sweet. How long do you guys think it will take to remove the Apex N1, and replace it with my stock ITR Catback? I don't wanna waste my money having a mechanic do it.

If you have a good floor jack and jackstands it shouldn't take you more than an hour. I think exhaust is one of the easiest things to install next to an intake as long as you have the capability to lift the car well.

yes, it's extremely easy. jack your car up from the front, put jack stands at the jack points. wd-40 the hangers and the nuts. un-bolt.. and bolt up. done.

Yeah, should be very easy, the bolts might be seized though. That can make it a royal pain in the ***. As mentioned, spray the belts with a healthy amount of wd-40 and let it soak a bit. Hopefully should be easy to take off.

here is some logic just for kicks. If the car works just fine stock and If an Apex N1 will bolt to a Stock header cat and an Apex N1 will bolt to a JDM 4-1/Carsound without problems then it would tend to reason that a stock exhaust woul bolt to the JDM 4-1/Carsound with no problem.
