Default H.I.D. QUESTION

i installed an HID kit on my 2008 civic and when i put them in they stayed on for about a week. then the fuse blew in the right side only.....
everytime i changed the fuse and then turned on the lights, the fuse would blow again
i have installed atleast 5 kits previous to this one on various cars and no problems
any ideas on what it could be?

all wires were connected correctly, positive to positive and negative to negative

thats what i thought, that it had to be a ground or the fuse wasnt strong enough
but its a plug and play kit, uses factory ground

your best bet is to make a wiring harness taht utilizes a relay to draw power from the battery and uses your stock plug as a swtich to engage the relay. check hidplanet.com in the "university" section for a good method of doing this. you are popping the fuse bc the ballasts draw much more current at startup than a halogen ever will.
