Default Shift Linkage Problem

I have a d-series in my CRX and I installed the linkage and the shifter is way too far forward. I had to unbolt the linkage to out the center console on. I'm thinking something is bent. Any opinions?

It is hard to get the console over the shifter, but does everything else line up and does it shift ok?

Stock shifter and linkage. It shifts fine but I've had the console on and off plenty of times and it wasn't like this. I HAD to unbolt the linkage from the transmission to get it on, there was no other way.

put the car in 4th gear, then angle the center console upwards as if the car was facing the sky, and stretch the bottom portion open a bit. its a tight squeeze but thats how i always do it. it never really just slipped on.

One of your shifter bushing is worn, so that's why fourth or fifth and 1 st appear neutral

I had this problem on my car, with every motor mount blown except the rear one.
