I just rebuilt my z6, the only special tool i needed (alreay had though) was a piston cuff b/c i dont know its real name. Its a circular metal cup that the piston goes into to hold the ring in while you put the piston in the bore. You can get it at your colal parts store. I dont really think theres much else you need, specialty tool wise.

 

its also called a piston ring compressor i believe. but you will need a good torque wrench if you dont have one.

 

we need to know exactly what you want to do with it, rebuilding it means a lot of things
