Default Does anyone know how to install prothane motor mount inserts?

I have a 96 Civic DX and I can't seem to get the driver side mount in.

Looks like this.

How flexible is the mount right now? It looks like you can clamp down on one side and then put the insert in on the other and then do the same for the other side. It looks like it should have the flex to do so. I'm just guessing on this one.

The prothane kit a good kit much better then the ES kit just wanna get that out there

HOWEVER to answer your question you have push the two bushings around under the metal plate i hope that makes sense?

It is a bitch to do and in my opinion not worth the effort case and point blew mine very easily and then converted to the EG style mount they have for the drivers side you can get the kit quite cheap here on honda-tech well worth the money and the reassurance as for the trans and rear mount both work very well!

Yeah, I was trying that and then my old man made a good point, once I get one side in it will be hard to clamp that side down in order to get the other side in. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Richard... &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Do you think it would hurt if I just used the passenger side mount and the rear mount insert? I'm afraid that will put all the stress on the driver side mount and cause it to fail. I guess I'll wrestle with it tomorrow and try to get it in there.

im saying change the drivers side mount out for the innovative one or something like that

however if you do not wish too do that it will take a bit of doing but the insert will go around the top of that OEM mount just under the metal strip

Good call

I'm going to go out to the garage and get a c-clamp, I'll report back shortly.
