Hi, I got a 99 prelude that had it's engine swamped with a JDM H22. Already changed the ecu, distributor and harness. Car runs, but D3 and 4 are weak. Light in dash D4 is blinking and after a while of driving engine check light turns on, but turns off when I start the car again. Thanks for any help, I'm not familiar with hondas (its my first). So how often do you hit Vtec on an auto transmission?

 

if the D4 is flashing then there is a problem with the Auto trans. You can take it to honda and they can tell you what the problem is by reading the code from the TCM (transmission control module) If you have a helms manual you can get the code yourself.

It sounds like the normal problem with slipping in the auto trans. how many miles are on the car?
