So I have a auto 99 civic ex with the stock D16Y8. One night while driving, the tranny shifted hard and then my check engine light came on and my D4 light started flashing. The car was stuck in 4th gear and it wouldn't go until i shifted down to D2. I went to check the codes at advance auto driving the car in d2 the whole way. They scanned the codes and all these codes popped up: p1753 p1768 p0705 p1298 p0700. I replaced the torque converter solenoid and still the same problem. I then swapped out my ECU from a different auto civic and still the same problem. So i then went out and bought a used tranny and swapped it out and STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. At this point I am done with this car. Does anyone have any idea on what it could be at this point????? My next move is to take it to Honda and have them check it. But before I do that can someone shed some light on my problem. Thank you.

I believe I had a similar issue and was told the ELD was screwed, my car was left in Jackson, Ms and had to get towed back one state over.

So figured out the problem. My fuse #5 was blowing under the dash causing all these problems. The cause of the problem was because my car is lowered a bit and my exhaust hangs really low and every time I would go over a speed bump my heat shield over my catback spliced onto my O2 sensor causing a short. SO ANYONE WHO HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS, CHECK YOUR #5 FUSE FIRST!!
