My armrest is sticky. Not cause of jizz or anything.
I'm just always resting my arm on it and I guess the swede is just wearing away a little. Anyone else's like this? Can you get them re-covered?

My armrest is not sticky, but it is getting worn down... I believe someone on the board a while ago got their's recovered, but I do not remember who it was. It might be a problem in regards to the Type R plaque.
tuck an' roll some crushed velvet on there, Yo!
i just left the plastic on mine...i will last a long time that way...
just like my couches...take it off on special occasions
guys...if it bothers you that much, these can still be had through your nearest acura dealer...for a pretty penny though
no need to re-upholster...oem

Chances are, the armrest is not actually wearing away....it's just full of dirt and dead skin from your arm always resting there.....which matts down the suede-ish stuff and makes for a kinda shiny, grayish looking armrest.
Get a toothbrush, and a dilute solution of dish-soap and water.....wet the brush, and scrub away.....the crap will come out of the material pretty quickly. And once, dry, it'll look good as new....and won't be sticky anymore.
Cheese~

check it out, between working in a very busy restaurant cooking at night, and doing paint and fiberglass repair durning the day, my arm rest was freak nasty. I got this stuff called "armor all multi-purpose auto cleaner with foaming action" and hit it once a week with that stuff, giving the foam a minute to work it's magic. It works really good and my arm rest is not sticky any more.
