Default F22 sohc to H23 swap

I recently bought a 92 Prelude S that came with the sohc F22 and a buddy of mine is gonna give me his H23 from his Prelude because he is doing an H22 swap. My question is will I need to use his H-series manual tranny (my F-series is manual) or will mine work with it? And what else will I need from his engine bay? I assume I need the intake manifold and maybe the exhaust manifold is there anything else? My buddy is gonna help me do the swap but he is gonna be out of town for a while and I won't be able to get in touch with him but I'd like to know soon just in case I have to buy anything. Thanks!!!

You can swap the f22a1 out and put the h23 right in. No wiring, no new mounts, nothing.

If you mean the h23 manifold's, leave them on the h23. He can't use them with the h22, I believe.

The f22 tranny will bolt to the h23 and h22 and vice versa.

Thats good to know. Thanks

Is there any advantage to having the H-series tranny or are the H and F-series trannys pretty much the same?

The f series has longer gears for better gas mileage, but at the expense of acceleration.

The h23 tranny is the favorite of the tranny's b/c the gearing helps with good gas mileage and respectable acceleration.

um, i dont think this is true....you're going to have to wire in the knock sensor, it is missing on the f22

also make sure you use the h23 ecu

You will also have to wire up the iabv on the I/M. Or some people like to remove it. It will also need the P14 ecu to operate properly. I don't know if removing it would cause a cel or not. Do a search for the pros and cons.
