F20C max rpi and power
Hy, I'm from Croatia and we'r doing some car for hill climb vith S2k engine, so I'm wondering where is the rew limit???? With which modifications can I expect a safe 10000rpm and/or about 300 HP????
We talk about NA tuning....

Hey I've been to Zagreb! Croatia is fvcking awesome!

300 NA HP is going to be very difficult. The only 300hp NA f20/f22 i've seen is the 2.5 liter stroker kit that inlinepro offers.

this website is going to have a lot more info.

ok, thanks for nice pics...but stroker kit is not an option....we are limited to 2.0l because of the class regulations....
I'm wondering which components could brake first...we are aiming in some 10000 rpm.
what's the durability of the stock engine? 200.000km? we need about 10.000 km per season (engine rebuild)

First I was to thank Dinamo Zagreb for giving us (Arsenal) Eduardo Da Silva for £7.5 million. (which I think is a steal)
Secondly. You're not going to get 300 NA rwhp in the s2000 without a stroker kit and major extra work. However, getting a stroker kit will also reduce your ability to rev up to 10k rpms reliably.
You could always go the with gears and some good tuning with basic I/H/E.

ok, don't bother with power....which components could break at or below 10k rpm???
do we have to change con rods, retainers, valve springs, valves???
10000 rpm isn't hard to get, but reliable 10k that is another story....
So car is going to be solo for racing - hill climb and we want to rev it high.... what modifications can be made to achieve that , we where thinking of camshafts, ITB and complete intake and exhaust modified to higher revs, standalone.

The bottom end of the F20/22 is pretty solid. Just port/polish the head and build it then throw some itb's on it and have it tuned; you should see some decent gains. Dont forget the basic stuff either like header, tp, exhaust and intake. And if you take the rev limiter off you can rev the stock f20 to 10k its just not good for it. I wouldnt recomend reving it past 9k if you want it to last even if the head is built.

the bottom end is forged...
however i think the F20/22 would not be a good choice for a up hill race. unless you slapped a GT28 turbo to it. these motors are lacking what is called TORQUE and you will need that going up hill

came standard in my car.

ITB's won't do much, and tuning them isn't easy. Camshafts won't do much either.
Since you don't want to go turbo, nor do you want to get a stroker kit.
If it was me, I'd change the FD gear to 4.77, J's Racing intake, J's racing header, J's racing 70mm RR exhaust, AEM EMS or HKS F-con V Pro for tuning. And call it a day.

I know but It will add atleast something.

He said it was a class limitation for the 2.0. So im assuming everyone else will have the torque handicap. Skunk2's ownwebsite says you will get a max of 15hp and 10tq from their stage 3 cams. Not enough for some of us to justify but if he is going ems and all that jazz, he can get it tuned for them and 15 hp is still 15 hp. And reliability is important but if it is for seasonal race car then it can be rebuilt after each season, I don't see 10k rpm as being a f20 killer just useless without support. I dont think you will come close to 300 but maybe 250+.
