i have a 92 civic dx my MAP sensor is on main harness but most civic come with it on there engine harness is there anyway for me to bypass it without having to change my main harness. The reason why i'm asking is because i want a vtec harness.

 

I have a 92 dx, and i swapped a d16z6 (94' so the map was on the t/b), all you do is just use the map connector from the car instead of the engine harness and your good to go.

 

so by using the one from the car the ecu wont read the one from the engine harness right? But then what do i do about the extra plug just hanging there? Can i just depin it from the harness and just remove the wiring for it on the engine harness?

92-93 engine harneses do not have the map sensor plug on it, its on the firewall. 94-95 harness has it on the engine harness.

 

so is it ok for me to depin the map sensor plug/wires from a 94-95 vtec engine harness and just run the main harnesses map sensor?
