Activating the ecu jumper...?
A friend of mine bought a chip for his P30, ecu. the ecu has been chipped, so the rail and jumper was still connected in the ecu when i bought it. he just installed a chip in the ecu and he was wondering how to activate the jumper?

If your talking about the jumper that switched the ecu, from running on itself to running on the chip i can answer you. This is for a p28, but should be close: on the p28 circuit bored there is a "J1" place a cut-off leg of another resistor or something and solder it there, just a piece of wire nothing more. If you have chipping problems just cut it, and the ecu will go back to normal.
I will get back to you tomorrow because its too late to call my friend. From what he explaind to me is sounds like you have the right idea. Ill give him a call and see what happens from there. Thanks for the help.
He got his jumper working on the ecu but it now runs rich. you can smell gas just standing next to the car when it is just ideling. <---spelling? His car still bogs a little but he is going to give it a tune up, so hopefully that will stop the bogging.
