cx vs ex transmission
ok so i have a cx transmission in my 96 ek d16y8 anyways i was wondering if i changed to a ex tranny with shorter gearing would that be better for power/racing cuz now adays i race and once i shiift i lose hella power..
first gear goes to 40mph and then when i shift the dude im racing gains on me and then once vtec kicks i catch up and then i shift and i have no power cuz the rpm are so low
anyways plz let me know if a ex tranny will be better for my car instead of the econo trany that doesnt really need a 5th gear lol 4th gear tops out at 122

Lol at one VTEC kicks in you catch up .. like it's NAAWWWWZZZ.. lol
Dude the CX trans sucks compared to the EX/SI trans. Get it.
Here's a graph to show the difference ... (Assuming since you were talking about VTEC you have a Z6 - thus why I put 7200 RPM as MAX.
