I went to the Street legal event in Diego 1/8 mile the only experience I have is in the streets of philly no track exp.

I was launching about 4k on my launch control. I lost a lot of RPM from 1-2 and third was so hard to hit at 8k...


How did I do what should I improve on for this setup

 

Good to see you hitting up the track down there.

From your time slip, it show you can get better times through better 60fts. 2.4 is pretty high there. Maybe on avg, at best launch on street tires you can get 2.0-2.1, thats an easy gain of .3sec

And if you ran slicks, usually you can get into the 1.7-1.8 range and lower your ET by about .7 sec. That would get you down to the 9.80s.

You can usually also get more consistent times with slicks rather than street tires.

 

Glad to see a fresh racer joining the ranks. You are off to a good start, so just keep practising and getting seat time. You will have a lot of fun as long as you keep going.

 

i think Im losing third gear...

Every time im in high rpms it grinds no matter how far i PUSH THE CLUTCH in all other gears work fine....

I missed third like three times I think Im might switch to a b16 tranny

 

u need new syncros. check out gearspeed for them.
