Default autostart

i have a 01 honda prelude and i want to have autostart but its a 5 speed so the shop will not do it (i do have a viper alarm system that allows me to have autostart) if any one can help thanks

What you need is a DEI 689M to go along with your alarm. Did you buy the alarm from the shop you are having it installed at?

So just go back and have them install the DEI 689M and rest of the remote start. I'm supprised the didn't offer you this in the fist place.

yeah but they can not do it because it is a 5 speed they say there is law that says they cant on a 5 speed

That's what the DEI 689M is for, it makes the remote start compatible with a manual transmission. 94

where can i get a dei 689m for cheep because the shop wants 180 just for the part
and is it hard to do?

Hmm... Let's see.... $180 for the module, or thousands plus when you remote start your car in gear and either put it into a wall or hurt/kill someone...

Sounds like a no-brainer to me...

If that price is installed then that sounds about right. If you want to keep your warranty then you need to buy the unit from an authorized as well as having it install by one.

all i ask is because i never got the autostart installed, is there some harness i can get then to plug into the brain?
